You may have noticed that the Haiti Earthquake has been on my mind, heart, and blog. Undoubtedly, you've seen and heard the heartbreak and tragedy associated with the earthquake and may feel overwhelmed by the daunting task of trying to help. While you and I can't help every single person, we can each help someone, and if we each jump in and help, we can make a huge difference.
Here's what we can do:
*Pray. Pray for the people who are in need to have their needs met. Pray that the people who can give will be moved to give. Pray for those who are suffering.
*Give. Even if you only have a tiny bit to give, remember that every little bit helps!
You can give to Compassion here or to another trustworthy charity (I posted about a couple others earlier.)
*Blog. This doesn't cost anything but a little time. Use what you have: your blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can use your influence to inspire others to action!
For every person who blogs about what you do to help with Haiti earthquake relief and leaves your link in the Mr. Linky below by January 21, I will give $1 to Compassion in addition to what I have already to committed to give on my own. If you don't have a blog, you may leave a comment below or email me about what you are doing by January 21, and I will donate $.50 to Compassion. Please remember to mention what you are doing so that you will also inspire others to action!
Updated: The Compassion team is on the ground right now in Haiti to provide relief.
I've been inspired to help in this way by Money Saving Mom. I'd encourage you to drop by her blog and leave your link or comment as well. She and her readers (including me!) are all donating with those who join in the blitz. Linking or commenting will multiply the amount that you have to give!
(If you're reading this in a blog reader, you'll need to click through to my actual blog to see the Mr. Linky. Be sure to link to your specific post, not to your general blog address.)
Thank you for joining with me and doing what you can to help those affected by the Earthquake in Haiti!

I donated through Compassion International and the Red Cross. Thanks for doing this!
I donated through Crisis Response International (CRI). They sent a team down yesterday to assist in search and rescue.
I'm donating by sending the text 'haiti' to 90999
Thanks for the inspiration. It does seem daunting, making a small donation sound insignificant, but all our little donations do add up. God has not changed since he used 5 small loaves and 2 small fish given by a boy to feed thousands. We all have a little bit to give. I am donating through Samaritan's Purse.
Thank you so much for doing this. I made a contribution through the red cross website. I wish I could give more, however I can offer up my prayers. Thank you again.
Our family donated to Red Cross today and I made a post on FB to encourage my friends to donate.
I'm going to discuss this with my husband when he gets home tonight and decide on where to donate to. Thank you for your contribution!
I donated through Compassion. Thank you for such a blessing to these people.
I'm donating through Compassion. Thank you for doing this!
Our family is planning to give. Our church ususally takes up an offering for disasters like this, so we plan to give through our church. They give the money to a missionary or organization they trust to help distribute the money. If our church doesn't take up an offering, we plan to donate the money through Compassion Int. Thank you for your generous heart.
I am giving through my church to the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.
I have a huge stockpile I will be donating that I had set aside for local charities.
I bought the "Blessed" necklace that Amy mentioned and $10 will go toward the Haiti Relief fund.
I donated to Catholic Relief Services which will go directly to Haiti, and my son is going to donate the charity portion of his allowance to Haiti.
You're doing a great thing!
Our family is sending up prayers to the One who can do the most!!
Our church also took and sent contributions in.
My heart breaks especially for the little ones affected. We truly are blessed and I am thankful that we are able to bless others in return!
Donating and spreading the word! Thanks for doing this!
Thanks for helping the people of Haiti!
(I donated to the American Red Cross and to Compassion International.)
We donated to the Red Cross. Thank you so much for contributing and rallying others to help.
Due to our financial situation, I am visiting as many blogs as possible and commenting to help raise donations. Bless you for not only helping but providing a way for everyone to help too!
I donated all my swagbucks for the cause, posted about this drive on Facebook, and plan to donate money, though still deciding which organization to donate through. Thanks for doing this.
I was able to donate my swagbucks and am also commenting on blogs to help raise money for Haiti!
We can't help financially--DH is unemployed currently--but I donated my swagbucks and I am trying to visit as many blogs as possible to help.
Thanks for the chance!!!
Thank you so much for donating for my comment! I donated money through a text message to the Red Cross and I am leaving comments on blogs to help get the word out. I wish I could go there and help! It is heartbreaking!
I am in the process of getting a fundraiser together selling bracelets, with all the profits going to relief efforts. So consider me commented and giving!
We gave to Red Cross via txt and YeleHaiti via txt. Thanks for your efforts!
I am commenting on blogs to help fund the relief effort. I hope to do more, but have not yet been able to talk to my hubby about it.
I donated $10 to the American Red Cross via text message, and $5 to Yele Haiti also via text message. I have also blogged about Haiti, urging others to donate what they can, and am visiting as many blogs as I can. Thank you for doing this!

Our Prayers are with Haiti
I don't have a blog, but I donated to Compassion International, Salvation Army Canada and RHFH Rescue Center. Thank you for what you are doing. Continuing to pray...
We must refuse to do nothing! Even if what we do is small, we absolutely must find a way to do something when it comes to meeting the needs God makes us aware of.
Thank you for a heart turned towards the hurting people of Haiti!
I decided to donate to 'Doctors without Borders.' Thanks for all you are doing!!
thank you for doing this. i gave $25 to doctors without borders, but seeing the generosity of all the bloggers out there makes me think i haven't donated enough.
We donated to Chances for Children:

They run an orphanage outside Port au Prince, from which a family in our homeschool group recently adopted two precious children. Bless you for all you are doing to help.
I dontated money to the Red Cross online, and I'm going to clean out my pantry to donate non-perishables at a drop off point here in town.
Thanks for doing this!
I'm donating through the Red Cross and the LDS Church. Thanks for doing this!
My children donated their allowance money. My husband and I will add to it and send it on to Samaritan's Purse. I'm also doing as many comments as I can for those bloggers' sites that will donate, and posted a link on my Facebook for friends to do the same.
We gave through CrossWorld International and are praying.
Beverly said: I donated my MYPoints.com points to Haiti thru their Red Cross link
What a wonderful thing you are doing. I pray for all those in Haiti.
i linked up above, but my dad, who was so inspired by all of the blogger moms, wanted me to leave a comment on his behalf informing you he donated as well!
Donated through the Red Cross and through our church!
We donated to the Salvation Army through one of the texting things here in Canada, and I'm also commenting on as many of these posts as I can.
I've been praying ever since I learned what happened in Haiti, but wasn't sure how to contribute.
Now I'm ready to move on an idea had a while back. I've been saving all our family's nut cans for ages. Now I have a huge box of them. I'm going to print up some labels for them saying " We CAN Help Haiti and CHANGE the outcome!" Then my children and I will give them out to everyone we know,( keeping a list for weekly pick up).
In this economy, lots of people don't feel they can afford to help much financially, but nearly all of us have coins that weigh down our purses and pockets, that could be doing some good for people in much more difficult circumstances than we are in, here in the U.S. There's never been a better moment to Love Thy Neighbor!
