I had been doing pretty well being patient for our due date. We're so thankful to be getting ready to have a baby-something we didn't think we'd get to do again-that we've just been trying to soak it all in, even the discomfort and sleepless nights. After Tuesday night, though, I've been having a harder time being patient. With all those contractions, we really thought we were going to have the baby by now.
My friend, Jen, suggested we take a long walk to a park that Jonathan and I have never tried before. Maybe the baby would get a lesson in gravity. We did that this morning, and I'm really proud of us for walking so far! Although I had planned to exercise during this pregnancy, the only exercise I've gotten is normal household stuff like going up and down the stairs all day long and pushing Jonathan in the grocery cart. So, it's pretty impressive that we made it!
I really enjoyed my time with Jen, and Jonathan informed me when we got home that "Ella is a great friend." And also that "Delia is getting into a kid" (becoming a kid.) So, it was a very successful morning! Jen posted about our time here.

Here's Jonathan, running to bring me a beautiful yellow flower.
It was really important to him that I keep my flowers safe.
Jen had brought a kite and let Jonathan be the runner to help fly it. Unfortunately, there was no wind!
I was really proud of Jonathan for tackling this on his own. If you know him, you know he's not super-adventurous. Our little man is growing up!
