Visiting Sarah and Family in October

Jeff had another weekend business trip...so we went to see our friends!  Sarah told me about a Lego build we could attend on the way, and I was so proud of the way Jonathan looked out for other kids and parents who were having trouble.

It was a very small Lego build!
We enjoyed the large Barnes and Noble.

Grace lost her first tooth at our friends' house.  She woke up Saturday morning and wanted me to pull it, so I did - no tears, no drama!  We were both so proud.

We did lots of chatting and Lego building, went to church together, and then went to a Lego art exhibit.

We had a really fun time with our dear friends, and we stayed distracted while Jeff was gone, too!

A Two-Family Trip in October

In October, we planned an overnight excursion to our favorite aquarium with Todd and Corinne and Charlotte.  After we had planned it, we found out that Jonathan's class would also be taking a day trip there.  Jeff had planned to chaperon anyway, so Jeff and Jonathan went for the day, spent the night, and then rest of us joined them the next day.  These pictures posted out of order...but, enjoy them anyway!

Here are pictures of our family at the aquarium.

And exploring the coast the next day.

and Grace telling Charlotte goodbye at the end of our second day.

Here are pictures from Friday - Jonathan's school field trip with Jeff, before the younger kids and I got there.

They had some observation and other scientific work to do at the beach.  You can ask Jonathan about it.

Jeff and Jonathan had some really good father-son time after Jonathan's classmates left.

Here are pictures Jeff took as we entered the aquarium.  I ruined this one by looking back at him.

This was taken after dinner on our first night.  Check out Charlotte's eyes as she and Grace "split" cheesecake!

Jeff's phone pics of our second morning

Charlotte got sick after we all went home, so Benjamin colored these pictures for her and we sent them to her in an email.

We thought that our first two-family overnight trip was a smashing success!
