Benjamin created this portrait of me. It looks just like me, right?
John and Char came for a visit close to Grace's birthday. She has a hard time tolerating December, with her brothers and mom having birthdays without her, but really she gets a much better end of the deal by having her own birthday separately. Lots of attention focuses solely on her, which of course, she loves. Anyway, we visited a town reminiscent of the old west since we know John loves that, and we took a short stagecoach ride.
The kids got to climb some rocks, which they love, especially Jonathan.
John and Char brought Grace's birthday gift, and she got some treasures to read and for her dolls.
The dolls seem to be happy with the arrangement, and so do their dogs. Now they just need a table and chairs!
We got some rain! I don't know how many years this drought is going to last, but I pray it will be over soon. In the meantime, we enjoy every drop we get.
If you're ever at IKEA and have the opportunity to buy a $10 box of 100 Fundera blocks, don't hesitate. They're worth every penny!
Candy Land is pretty fun, too!
