The first time I let Jonathan set up a Nativity scene, he arranged it like this - with all the participants looking at Jesus, who was in the middle. All the other scenes I had ever scene were set up like a Christmas pageant - with all the characters on display for an unseen audience. I loved how Jonathan saw the setup in him mind's eye, so I always like to put him in charge of setting up our few Nativity scenes. They're not symmetrical or perfect, but the focus is where it belongs.
