After all this time living in this county, we finally made it to the county fair. We even ate fair food: corn dogs for dinner and a giant cinnamon roll for dessert. The family of one of Grace's art class classmates ran the cinnamon roll booth. Apparently they travel from county to county as a family, selling their yummy cinnamon rolls, and earn an honest living for their family. I admire their hard work but am certainly thankful we can stay put.
We admired some of the exhibits.
We admired some of the 4-H animals.
We posed for silly pictures.
And we tried the Footsie-Wootsie, the best $.25 you'll ever spend at our county fair.
We decided that riding any of the carnival rides was too crowded and too expensive. The carnival section gives me the creeps anyway. And when it was all over, we came home and washed our extremely dirty feet.
