Benjamin thinks it is a huge deal when I forget to put away the "measuring stick," as he calls it, so that he can take a turn measuring things. I guess he has seen me measuring a lot since we have moved! And there's *still* more that I need to hang up or put away...
When it comes time for him to learn some measuring skills in school, he'll already know how a ruler works. :)
