Dress-Up Days, Blueberrying, Twitter, and Wrapping Up the School Year

Sports Team Day for Grace

After my sweet niece, Claire, was born, I wanted to get Charlotte and Benjamin together...and also give Corinne a little break.  So, we went blueberry picking, and we had such a fun time.

And we got to hold Claire afterwards!

Superhero Day!  Grace finds, each year, that she is the only kid dressed as a superhero of her own making.  The other kids choose well-known characters.  But, she is still satisfied with her choice, and so am I.

Jonathan's principal promised lunch to any student who earns 500 or more AR points in a school year.  Jonathan and his classmate earned the lunch...and also a fun side-trip to the principal's ranch afterwards.  Jonathan always reads and reads and reads...but remembering to take the tests takes a lot of effort.  He earned over 850 points in 5th grade.

And he enjoyed the cookie as big as his head.

Bright color day for Grace.

Building and unbuilding...that's what he likes to do!

Very soon after Jonathan received Siri for Christmas, he began planning and saving to buy Twitter.  She needed to be yellow and green, and she had her name long before she was purchased.  It took us a few calls and visits, but finally parakeets were in stock and we could take Twitter home.

He had bought a tiny cage with her own money so that the birds could get acquainted in separate cages before putting them together.  Super excited items for Jonathan!

Jonathan's class put on a play/musical.  Jonathan even participated in the singing/dancing.  (He had to!)  It didn't kill him, although he thought it might.  We were proud of him getting out of his comfort zone!
