And Then, We Went to Kauai!

This spring, we had the opportunity to take our kids and moms to Kauai.  We're so thankful that we were able to go as a party of seven!  The pictures are appearing a little jumbles in Blogger - it sorts them a bit out of order depending on whose phone or camera took them.  Also, I don't always remember or label each destination on our trip.  But, it was a beautiful week in a beautiful place, and I hope you're able to enjoy it through our pictures.

We drove to our airport's city the night before our flight.  Mom was in the front of our van, so I was in the back with Jonathan and the luggage.  Grace and Benjamin wanted a "hand hug."

We met Cheryl at the hotel and caught the shuttle to the airport early the next morning.

Yes, we were *those* parents who took our kids out of school for the experience.  Plane tickets are considerably less expensive during the school year than they are during summer break...and that mattered to our budget.  Our kids did their homework on the plane.  Jonathan left his on the plane on the way home, after he completed all of it...but I won't dwell on that.

It was quite an experience traveling as a party of seven.  And nice not to be outnumbered by our kids!

Mom ate beef jerky.  It was worth remembering.

And we made it to Lihue!

These pictures are out of order, but it was magical to take my mom to Kauai and see how she enjoyed her first views of it and of the Pacific...from this part of the Pacific.

The first of many gorgeous views from our condo where we stayed.
