The Morning of Legoland

We had tons of fun on our birthday extravaganza trip, and we hadn't even been to Legoland yet!  We got up Thursday morning, the day after Jonathan's birthday and the day before mine, and donned our special shirts.  The boys got special birthday shirts, and I just love them.  Grace liked them so much that she'll probably get one for her birthday, too.  Comment if you want the link to the Etsy shop.  :)

Do you see the kid-height peephole next to Grace?  There are so many kid-details in this hotel, which we all loved.

The park didn't open until 10, and our hotel stay gave us early admission to part of the park at 9:30.  But, there was still plenty of time to goof around at the hotel before then.

Here's some of our goofing around before breakfast.  We explored the area near the pool for a bit.  The weather was nice enough to leave jackets behind, but not nice enough to swim.  At least, that's what I thought!  Benjamin and Jeff had taken a dip the night before.  The pool had a lifeguard and floating Lego blocks to play with.

Everybody was so excited!

We ate at the buffet for breakfast, which was included, and Jeff and I agreed that it was the best buffet breakfast we had ever eaten.  This woman, Zanni, was a balloon artist, and she visiting each table during the meal and making kids very happy.

Bad picture, happy kid.

Here are some of the flowers outside a conference room.

The elevator was a destination of its own.  When we walked inside, it was always playing elevator music (specifically, a very calm version of "Girl from Ipanema."  But, once the doors closed, the dance party music and lights turned on.  We loved that, especially Grace.  Actually, no, Jonathan just tolerated it, but you probably already know that about him!

More pictures exploring outside.  These were taken in the back near the ice staking rink that was set up for the winter.

There was so much to explore at the hotel…we had to soak it all in!
