The Off-Road Fire Truck

When Jonathan turned five, we started giving him a small allowance/commission to begin teaching him how to manage money. Since we've never done this before, we got a little help from Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace, Jr. Jonathan has been working on doing his chores each week and learning how to manage his money into Give, Save, and Spend categories. It's been a learning experience for all of us, and I'm sure it will continue to be.

He's been saving and saving (with some help from birthday money!) for a certain Lego set. He decided to save most of his "Spend" money, too, because he was so anxious to get it. Last week, he had saved up enough, so we went to Target to get it. Look how proud he was!
